Sign the petition (you can do it online) to revive Gatineau Park Trail Names - numbers are so boring! And while you're at it, why not buy a reprint of the 1967 Ski Map.

Dude, I read two blogs regularly. If you kill the blog I'll be one step closer to illiteracy. I wouldn't know how to spell that without your blog!! :-)

that map is friggen great stuff...
imagine the work people put into those trails at the time. Not the NCC and their buldozers, but human power carving in those trails.
If you guys/gals get a chance yah gotta head over to the escarpment. There are some really really old trails along that way.
Its really wild how many trails there are in there.
If you ever get a chance (if you haven't gone), go to the North Shore in Vancouver. There are some awsome trail systems that just go on and on what seems like forever. Lynne Valley hosts a whole slew of trails that go on and on forever.
Small little trails just amaze me. Takes years and years to make those things.
Just think of the amount of work that someone like Scott F and Peter V put into the other trails... just countless amounts of hours.
Probably thousands of hours!
