Skinnamarink-a-dink-a-dink . . . .
Wasn't the inspiration behind this piece of work. My Peanut was. There's a story behind the whole elephant thing . . .
Stencil goes on . . . .
. . . ink starts . . .
I've been going to Julie at New Moon Tattoo for most all of my work the past number of years and her stuff keeps getting better and better. If you're a local and interested in seeing her stuff, stop into the west-end location and check out her portfolio.
. . . . taa daa.
Swollen and red and sore. The inside of the upper arm is a pretty tender spot to get work done. The daddy elephant will fade to a lighter shade of grey, while the baby elephant, though hard to tell now, has pink to it (for my Peanut). I will have to go in for a couple touch ups: the eye on the daddy elephant needs a slight alteration and the baby elephant is going to be much pinker. At some point the background will link into the upper sleeve work that I have done and hopefully will blend into some sort of full sleeve work in the future.

My eldest used to watch that creepy show.
is this continued interest in body tagging and sensible personal expressionism any reflection on your most recent career choice?
fight the power!
oh and the man spell'ed my word verification wrong...
BREST. meh. stupid heads.
That's so funny,
I once asked for the same tattoo, but the artist told me my emaciated bicep didn't provide enough "canvas space." He suggested maybe something smaller — like a tree shrew and its tree shrew puppy.
That's what they call 'em...tree shrew puppies.
I love the cute little nickname "peanut" for the spud. I call mine "punkin' head" cause she has a big fat grape and reddish hair.
